How is the Proofreading Test scored? +

Every result is reviewed by a trained human editor before it is released to the client. The scoring engine does a first-pass count of correctly identified errors against the total embedded, and a human editor then checks the result and signs off. No result reaches the client without human review.

How long does the Proofreading Test take? +

The standard test is 15 minutes. A 1.5x or 2x time multiplier is available per invitation for candidates requiring accessibility accommodations.

What types of errors are included? +

Spelling mistakes, punctuation errors, incorrect homophones (e.g. there/their/they're), inconsistent capitalisation, and formatting inconsistencies. The passage is drawn from professional content similar to the candidate's target industry.
