This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the EditingTests.com platform, including all tests, reports, data, and candidate assessment tools. By accessing or using EditingTests.com, you agree to comply with this policy.
1. Permitted Uses
You may use EditingTests.com to: invite candidates to complete editorial skills assessments for legitimate employment screening or development purposes; access and review candidate results and reports within your authorised account; use anonymised or aggregated data from your account to inform internal HR decisions; share individual candidate results with other authorised members of your organisation on a need-to-know basis.
2. Prohibited Uses
You must not use EditingTests.com to:
- Share, reproduce, distribute, or publish test questions, passages, or answer keys in any form, whether publicly or privately
- Use the platform to screen candidates for any purpose that violates applicable employment discrimination laws, including but not limited to the Equality Act 2010 (UK), the Employment Equity Act (Canada), or Title VII of the Civil Rights Act (US)
- Attempt to access, reverse-engineer, or extract any part of the question bank, scoring algorithms, or platform infrastructure
- Use automated scripts, bots, or any non-human interaction to interact with the platform or complete assessments
- Share account credentials with unauthorised third parties
- Use the platform or candidate data for any purpose other than legitimate employment assessment or professional development
- Allow candidates to complete assessments using external assistance, AI tools, or shared resources except where explicitly permitted for a given assessment type
3. Candidate Data
Candidate test data accessed through your account is provided under licence for your internal use only. You may not sell, transfer, or share candidate data with third parties other than your authorised HR team members. You must comply with applicable data protection legislation, including GDPR, PIPEDA, and CCPA, when handling candidate information. Candidate data may only be used for the purposes disclosed to candidates at the time of assessment.
4. Assessment Integrity
You are responsible for ensuring that assessments are administered fairly and consistently. You must not communicate test content to candidates in advance, provide unfair advantages to particular candidates, or use assessment results in a manner that is inconsistent with the methodology described in our Methodology documentation. Violation of assessment integrity may result in immediate account suspension.
5. Enforcement
EditingTests.com reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to any account that violates this policy, with or without prior notice. We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required. Unused credits are non-refundable in cases of policy violation.
