Metallurgical Residue Encapsulation

Basic Technical IVT

A containment strategy that seals or encloses mining byproducts and processing residues within engineered barriers to prevent leaching and environmental release of metal concentrates. Encapsulation methods include geosynthetic membranes, solidification/stabilization matrices, and multilayer cap systems.
