SSHADESS is an expanded version of the HEADSS assessment that includes Strengths, Spirituality, Home, Activities, Drugs, Emotions, Sexuality, and Safety. This structured interview framework helps healthcare providers systematically evaluate adolescent psychosocial functioning across multiple domains. The assessment begins with strengths to establish rapport and covers increasingly sensitive topics, allowing providers to identify risk factors and protective factors.
