Speckle-tracking echocardiography (STE) is a sophisticated ultrasound imaging technique that analyzes the motion of naturally occurring acoustic reflections (speckles) within myocardial tissue to quantify cardiac deformation and strain. This angle-independent method provides comprehensive assessment of myocardial function by measuring longitudinal, circumferential, and radial strain parameters.
