A supraperiosteal injection delivers filler or other injectables in the plane directly superior to the periosteum, placing product in close proximity to the bony scaffold of the face. Because it places product adjacent to neurovascular structures and bone, it requires precise anatomical knowledge and carries a different risk profile than more superficial injections.
