Angioscopy is a specialized endoscopic technique that allows direct visualization of the interior of blood vessels during vascular interventions. Unlike angiography which provides silhouette images, angioscopy offers real-time color visualization of vessel walls, thrombus, and plaque characteristics. This technique is particularly valuable for assessing the completeness of thrombus removal and evaluating vessel wall integrity during interventional procedures.
