A TPP near 0 daPa is considered normal; significantly negative values (e.g., below −100 daPa) may indicate Eustachian tube dysfunction or developing middle-ear effusion. TPP is one of three key tympanometric parameters—alongside static admittance and ear canal volume—used to classify tympanogram types.
