Reynolds Risk Score

Full Definition

The Reynolds Risk Score is a cardiovascular risk assessment tool that enhances traditional risk prediction by incorporating high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and parental history of premature heart disease. Developed separately for men and women, it aims to improve risk classification, particularly in intermediate-risk patients. The score has been shown to reclassify a significant portion of patients initially deemed at intermediate risk by traditional calculators.
