Cardiopulmonary arrest represents the complete failure of both cardiac and respiratory function, resulting in absent circulation and ventilation. Immediate recognition and intervention with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) protocols are essential for patient survival.
