Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) are mental health facilities that meet enhanced federal standards for providing comprehensive behavioral health services. Established under the Excellence in Mental Health Act, CCBHCs must provide nine core services including crisis intervention, screening and assessment, patient-centered treatment planning, outpatient mental health and substance abuse services, and coordination with other healthcare providers. These clinics serve as a model for community-based integrated care and receive enhanced Medicaid reimbursement rates.
