A procedure involving surgical reduction of the thyroid cartilage prominence (Adam's apple) to create a smoother neck contour. Commonly performed as part of facial feminization surgery for transgender women, but also sought by cisgender individuals for cosmetic reasons. The procedure requires careful attention to avoid damage to the vocal cords and laryngeal structures.
