Low-flow systems such as the nasal cannula deliver variable FiO₂ depending on the patient's respiratory pattern, while high-flow systems including Venturi masks deliver precise FiO₂ concentrations. During sedation and general anesthesia, positive-pressure oxygen delivery via bag-valve-mask or anesthesia circuit provides the highest FiO₂ and supports ventilation if needed.
