Full Definition
A temporary cardiac pacing system consisting of a transvenous pacing lead positioned in the right ventricle and connected to an external pulse generator. This emergency intervention provides immediate cardiac pacing support for patients with symptomatic bradycardia, complete heart block, or other conduction disturbances. The system can provide both demand and asynchronous pacing modes and serves as a bridge to permanent pacemaker implantation or recovery of intrinsic conduction.
