A minimally invasive surgical approach for removing the thymus gland through the same cervical incision used for thyroidectomy, without requiring sternotomy or thoracotomy. This technique is particularly relevant in endocrine surgery when thymic tissue needs to be removed in cases of ectopic parathyroid adenomas located within the thymus or for treatment of myasthenia gravis in conjunction with thyroid surgery. The procedure requires careful dissection to avoid injury to surrounding structures including the great vessels and phrenic nerves.
