Full Definition
The CCAM volume ratio (CVR) is a sonographic measurement that compares the volume of a congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation to the estimated fetal head circumference. Calculated as (length × width × height × 0.52) ÷ head circumference, a CVR greater than 1.6 is associated with increased risk of hydrops fetalis and poor perinatal outcomes. This ratio helps determine the need for fetal intervention and guides counseling about prognosis.
