Senile cardiac calcification is a common age-related process involving calcium phosphate deposition in various cardiac structures, most prominently affecting the mitral annulus, aortic valve, and cardiac conduction system. Unlike pathological calcification, senile calcification follows predictable patterns and progresses slowly.
