A congenital deformity characterized by abnormal lateral deviation of a digit, most frequently involving the small finger due to a trapezoidal or delta-shaped middle phalanx. The condition can be isolated or associated with various syndromes. Mild cases are often asymptomatic and require no treatment, while severe deformities may benefit from corrective osteotomy or soft tissue procedures.
