The triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) is a crucial anatomical structure consisting of the triangular fibrocartilage disc, meniscus homologue, extensor carpi ulnaris sheath, dorsal and volar radioulnar ligaments, and ulnocarpal ligaments. It serves as the primary stabilizer of the distal radioulnar joint and provides cushioning between the ulna and carpal bones. TFCC tears are common causes of ulnar-sided wrist pain.
