This approach is indicated for tumors with limited bone invasion that do not extend below the level of the inferior alveolar canal. The procedure preserves facial contour and eliminates the need for complex reconstruction while achieving adequate oncologic resection. Careful case selection is crucial to ensure negative margins while avoiding mandibular fracture.
