A technique used during laparoscopic gynecological procedures where an assistant manually manipulates the uterine fundus through the abdominal wall or vagina to optimize visualization of pelvic anatomy. This maneuver helps elevate the uterus, improve exposure of the adnexa, and facilitate identification of anatomical landmarks. Fundal massage is particularly useful during procedures involving the posterior cul-de-sac, ovaries, or fallopian tubes.

Usage note: Different from therapeutic fundal massage used in postpartum hemorrhage management.
