A distinctive histopathological pattern characterized by elongated tumor cells arranged in a radiating, fence-like pattern around zones of coagulative necrosis. This feature is pathognomonic of glioblastoma and represents one of the defining histological criteria for WHO grade IV astrocytoma. The pseudopalisading cells are typically elongated astrocytic tumor cells that appear to migrate away from hypoxic central zones, creating the characteristic serpentine pattern of necrosis with cellular borders.
