The Neurological Pupil index is a proprietary algorithm that converts pupillary light reflex measurements into a standardized score ranging from 0 to 5. Values below 3 are considered abnormal and may indicate neurological compromise. The NPi provides objective, reproducible assessment of pupillary function, eliminating subjective interpretation inherent in manual pupil checks.
