A spectrum of dysplastic changes in the conjunctival epithelium ranging from mild dysplasia to carcinoma in situ. CIN represents a precursor to invasive squamous cell carcinoma and is often associated with human papillomavirus infection or chronic sun exposure. Lesions typically appear as raised, pink, or white patches on the conjunctiva, particularly at the limbus. Early detection and treatment are crucial to prevent progression to invasive carcinoma.
