Reconstruction options include massive allografts, vascularized autografts (such as fibular grafts), metallic implants, or composite reconstructions combining multiple techniques. Intercalary reconstruction aims to maintain joint function while providing adequate tumor resection margins. The choice of reconstruction method depends on factors including patient age, bone quality, expected lifespan, and functional requirements. This approach often provides better long-term function compared to joint replacement alternatives.
