Closed reduction and internal fixation (CRIF) is a minimally invasive surgical technique where fractures are realigned without making a large incision to directly visualize the fracture site. The procedure uses fluoroscopic guidance to achieve proper reduction and then secures the fracture with internal hardware such as screws, pins, or rods inserted through small incisions. This technique reduces soft tissue trauma compared to open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF).
