A deformity where the distal segment of a bone or limb deviates toward the midline of the body.

Varus angulation describes a malalignment where the distal portion of a bone or extremity angles inward toward the body's midline. This deformity can occur congenitally or develop following trauma, infection, or growth disturbances. In the knee, genu varum creates a bow-legged appearance, while in the hip, coxa vara refers to a decreased neck-shaft angle. Varus deformities often require surgical correction to restore proper biomechanics and prevent degenerative changes.
