Full Definition

A family of statistical techniques used in psychiatric epidemiology to analyze the time until a specific psychiatric event occurs, such as first episode of psychosis, relapse, or recovery. These methods can handle censored data where the event has not occurred for all subjects by the end of observation. Kaplan-Meier curves and Cox proportional hazards models are commonly employed to examine factors influencing psychiatric disorder onset and progression.
