Carbon Fibre Footplate

A carbon fibre footplate is the structural element of an energy-storing-and-returning (ESAR) prosthetic foot, designed to flex during loading and recoil during push-off to replicate the biomechanical behaviour of the human plantar fascia and Achilles tendon complex.
