AMH levels correlate with the number of remaining eggs and decline with age, making it valuable for predicting ovarian response to stimulation in assisted reproductive technology cycles. Unlike other reproductive hormones, AMH remains relatively stable throughout the menstrual cycle, allowing for convenient testing at any time. Low AMH levels may indicate diminished ovarian reserve, while elevated levels can suggest polycystic ovary syndrome. This hormone plays a crucial role in fertility assessment and treatment planning.
