Monitoring typically begins 5-7 days after starting ovarian stimulation and continues every 1-3 days until trigger criteria are met. This close surveillance allows for medication adjustments, cycle cancellation if needed, and optimal timing of procedures such as trigger injection and oocyte retrieval.
