Sleep medicine fellowship represents advanced subspecialty training for physicians who have completed residency in internal medicine, neurology, psychiatry, pediatrics, or other qualifying specialties. The fellowship provides comprehensive training in sleep disorders diagnosis and treatment, polysomnography interpretation, sleep laboratory management, and both medical and surgical sleep disorder interventions. Fellows gain expertise across the full spectrum of sleep medicine including sleep-related breathing disorders, circadian rhythm disorders, parasomnias, hypersomnias, and sleep-related movement disorders. Successful completion qualifies physicians for board certification in sleep medicine.
