Normal contact quotients typically range from 40-60% depending on pitch, loudness, and voice quality. Elevated CQ values may indicate hyperfunctional voice patterns or increased vocal fold tension, while reduced values might suggest incomplete glottal closure or breathiness. This measure provides objective quantification of vocal fold contact patterns for research and clinical assessment.
