Unlike static tests performed on empty chambers, dynamic testing provides real-world validation of air removal effectiveness when the sterilizer contains surgical instruments, textiles, and various packaging materials. The test typically uses multiple test packs containing temperature and pressure sensors positioned throughout the load to verify uniform steam penetration. This testing is essential for pre-vacuum and steam flush pressure pulse sterilizers where inadequate air removal can create cold spots that compromise sterilization efficacy.
