Locoregional control refers to the absence of cancer recurrence in the primary tumor bed and regional lymph node basins following treatment. This oncological endpoint is distinct from distant metastatic control and is primarily achieved through adequate surgical resection, radiation therapy, or combined modality treatment. Locoregional control is a critical measure of treatment success in surgical oncology and strongly correlates with overall survival in many cancer types.
