Plethysmography measures volumetric changes in body segments, typically limbs, to evaluate vascular function. Air plethysmography is commonly used in venous disease assessment to measure venous filling time, ejection fraction, and residual volume fraction. Strain gauge plethysmography can assess arterial inflow and venous outflow. These measurements help quantify the severity of venous disease and monitor treatment response.
