A Doppler waveform is the visual display of blood flow characteristics captured by Doppler ultrasound technology. These waveforms provide critical information about vascular hemodynamics, including flow direction, velocity, and resistance patterns. The shape and characteristics of the waveform can indicate normal flow, stenosis, occlusion, or other vascular pathology. Different arterial beds have characteristic waveform patterns, and deviations from normal can help localize and quantify vascular disease severity.
