A complication following bariatric surgery where patients experience hypoglycemic episodes 1-3 hours after eating, particularly after consuming high-carbohydrate meals. This occurs due to exaggerated insulin response and rapid glucose absorption in the altered gastrointestinal anatomy. Symptoms include sweating, shakiness, confusion, and weakness. Management involves dietary modification with emphasis on protein, complex carbohydrates, and frequent small meals.
