PICO dressing is a portable, single-use negative pressure wound therapy system designed for smaller wounds including burn donor sites. Unlike larger NPWT systems, PICO provides continuous negative pressure through a lightweight, battery-powered pump integrated into the dressing. It is particularly useful for donor site management, promoting faster healing and reducing pain compared to traditional dressings. The system is typically left in place for up to seven days and is indicated for acute wounds expected to heal by primary intention.
