A radial artery graft involves harvesting the radial artery from the patient's forearm to create an arterial conduit for coronary artery bypass surgery. This graft type offers superior long-term patency compared to venous grafts and has become increasingly popular as a second arterial conduit after the left internal mammary artery. Careful preoperative assessment with Allen's test ensures adequate collateral circulation through the ulnar artery before harvest.
