The right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) is the muscular and fibrous pathway that conducts blood from the right ventricle to the pulmonary arteries, passing beneath the pulmonary valve. In cardiac surgery, RVOT reconstruction is commonly required in congenital heart disease, particularly in conditions such as tetralogy of Fallot, pulmonary atresia, and truncus arteriosus. RVOT procedures may involve patch augmentation, conduit placement, or valve replacement to relieve obstruction and establish competent pulmonary circulation. The RVOT is also a critical area for arrhythmia origination in some patients.
