The location where percutaneous access is obtained to the arterial circulation for cardiac catheterization and intervention. Common sites include the radial artery (transradial), femoral artery (transfemoral), and less commonly the brachial or ulnar arteries. Choice of access site affects procedure success, patient comfort, bleeding risk, and mobilization time. Documentation must specify the exact location and any complications related to vascular access.
