Full Definition

FFR-CT is a non-invasive computational fluid dynamics technique that derives fractional flow reserve values from coronary CT angiography images. This technology allows clinicians to assess the functional significance of coronary stenoses without requiring invasive cardiac catheterization. FFR-CT values below 0.80 typically indicate hemodynamically significant lesions that may benefit from revascularization. The technique has gained acceptance as a diagnostic tool to guide treatment decisions and reduce unnecessary invasive procedures.
