Functional Capacity Evaluation is a comprehensive assessment that objectively measures an individual's ability to perform work-related tasks safely and efficiently. The evaluation includes testing of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, walking, and other occupational demands. FCE results are used for return-to-work decisions, disability determinations, and exercise prescription development in occupational rehabilitation settings.
