Full Definition
A complication of monochorionic twin pregnancies where there is discordant fetal growth with one twin showing significantly reduced growth parameters compared to its co-twin, typically defined as estimated fetal weight discordance >25%. This condition may be associated with unequal placental sharing and can progress to twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. Management may include selective cord occlusion or laser therapy depending on severity and gestational age.
