Full Definition
A high-grade malignancy that can arise in the ovary, fallopian tube, or endometrium, characterized by papillary architectural features and serous epithelial differentiation. This tumor type is known for its aggressive behavior, tendency for early peritoneal dissemination, and association with BRCA mutations when arising in the ovary. Papillary serous adenocarcinomas often present at advanced stages and require multimodal treatment including cytoreductive surgery and platinum-based chemotherapy.

Usage note: Often abbreviated as PSA in pathology reports, but avoid confusion with prostate-specific antigen.
