A temporary or absorbable barrier material applied to surgical sites to reduce the formation of post-operative adhesions. These products, including films, gels, and solutions, create a physical separation between healing tissues during the critical post-operative period. In minimally invasive surgery, adhesion barriers are particularly important due to the increased risk of future complications during subsequent procedures.
