Sampling Perfection with Application optimized Contrasts using different flip angle Evolutions (SPACE) is a three-dimensional turbo spin echo sequence that provides high spatial resolution with isotropic voxels. This sequence allows multiplanar reconstruction in any orientation with consistent image quality and is particularly useful for detailed anatomical assessment of complex structures like the cranial nerves, inner ear, and spine. SPACE sequences can be optimized for T1, T2, or FLAIR contrast and offer superior signal-to-noise ratio compared to conventional 2D sequences.
