Voxel-based morphometry (VBM) is a neuroimaging analysis technique that allows investigation of focal differences in brain anatomy using statistical parametric mapping. VBM can detect subtle regional differences in gray matter volume, white matter integrity, or cortical thickness between groups or over time.
