Electroencephalography (EEG) records electrical activity of the brain through electrodes placed on the scalp. Continuous EEG monitoring (cEEG) allows real-time detection of seizure activity that may not be clinically apparent. EEG findings help guide antiepileptic therapy and provide prognostic information.
